2. Who are we
Onecart is a virtual marketplace where local Agro Processors, Manufacturers, Fast food Vendors, Farmers, Store Owners and any other seller of merchandise can display and sell products in Guyana. When a customer places an order from any single merchant or a collection of different merchants on our website, Onecart will also provide delivery for those items to the customer.
3. What personal data we collect and why we collect it
3.1 Information you provide and others provide to us
At various points in the Onecart experience, you may provide us with information about yourself. For example, when you create an account through our service, you provide us with personal information like your name, physical address, email address and telephone number. And if you place an order through our services, we collect information including your shipping address(es), your GTT MMG subscriber details, some bank information and the details of your order. Your account information may be updated or corrected by accessing your account settings.
We may also offer social sharing tools (such as the Facebook “Like” button) that let you share actions on our service with other websites and vice versa. In those cases, the providers of those tools may receive information about you when you use those tools. You should check the privacy policies of these third party services and your settings there for more information.
Our service is not intended for children under 15 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 15. If we obtain actual knowledge that any information we collect has been provided by a child under the age of 15, we will delete that information.
3.2 Technical information about usage of our service
When you use our service, through a browser, we automatically receive some technical information about the hardware and software that is being used. While you visit our website, we’ll track:
Products you’ve viewed: we’ll use this to show you products you’ve recently viewed.
Location, IP address and browser type: we’ll use this for the purpose of estimating taxes and shipping, and for order confirmation.
Shipping address: we’ll ask you to enter this so we can, for instance, estimate deliver cost before you place an order, and send you the order!
We may employ some third-party services to help us understand the usage of our service and the performance of advertising, and these third-parties may also deploy cookies, pixels, or other identifiers on our services. For example, we use Google Analytics to understand, in a non-personal way, how users interact with various portions of our service — you can learn more about information that Google may collect here.
When you purchase from us, we’ll ask you to provide information including your name, billing address, shipping address, email address, phone number, payment details and optional account information like username and password. We’ll use this information for purposes, such as, to:
Send you information about your Account and Order(s).
Respond to your requests, including refunds and complaints.
Process payments and prevent fraud.
Set up your account for our marketplace.
Comply with any legal obligations we have, such as calculating taxes.
Improve our marketplace offerings.
Send you marketing messages, if you choose to receive them.
If you upload images to our website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

We may use the information we collect for various purposes, including to:
- Provide our service to you, improve the quality of our service, and develop new products and services.
- Charge you for the purchase and delivery costs through one or more payment processing partners.
- Offer you customized content (including advertising, coupons, and promotions).
- Understand how users interact with our service (including advertising both on and off our Service) as a whole and to test new features or changes in our features.
- Provide customer service, respond to your communications and requests, and contact you about your use of our service.
- You can opt-out of receiving promotional communications from Onecart by replying “STOP” from the mobile device receiving the promotional messages or by using the unsubscribe mechanism included in the message, where applicable.
5. Who we share your data with
We will share your information with entities outside of our service when we have your consent to do so or it is done at your direction. For example: If you enter loyalty card information from a particular merchant, we share that information with the merchant you chose along with your order so that information can be added your loyalty card account. We sometimes employ third parties to process information on our behalf or to provide certain services (such as delivery services, advertising services, or information to better tailor our services to you). For the purposes of this processing or provision of services, we may share your information with them under appropriate confidentiality provisions. We may share your information for legal purposes when we believe that the disclosure is reasonably necessary to (a) comply with applicable laws, regulations, legal process, or requests from law enforcement or regulatory authorities, (b) prevent, detect, or otherwise handle fraud, security, or technical issues, and (c) protect the safety, rights, or property of any person, the public, or Onecart. Onecart may share your information for business purposes, where we may share your information in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of company assets, financing or acquisition of all or a portion of our business by another company. We may also share your information between and among Onecart, and its current and future parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, and other companies under common control and ownership. For the purpose of processing payments, we may share your information with other third party payment processors like local banks, GTT MMG, etc.
6. How long we retain your data
If you create an account, we will store your name, address, email and phone number, which will be used to populate the checkout for future orders. We generally store information about you for as long as we need the information for the purposes for which we collect and use it, and we are not legally required to continue to keep it. For example, we will store order information for 10 years for tax and accounting purposes. This includes your name, email address and billing and shipping addresses. We will also store comments or reviews, if you choose to leave them.
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time. Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
7. What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on Onecart’s website, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
8. Who on our team has access to your data
Some employees of Onecart have access to the information you provide us. The employees that have access or can view your personal data are Administrators, Order Management Processors, Order Management Supervisors, Delivery Dispatchers, Accounts Managers and Delivery Drivers/Riders. These employees have different levels of access to your personal data, for example, Administrators, Order Management Processors and Order Management Supervisors may view your Order information, like what was purchased, when it was purchased and where it should be sent, and
customer information like your name, email address, and billing and shipping information. Accounts Managers may be able to view all your transactions and financial data relating to your orders, that is collected on our website.
